  • Not running on cylinder 2

'96 780 only running on 2 cylinders. Compression 120 on all 3, has spark, has fuel, cleaned carbs. Still no go. Removed all fuel. Still nothing. Any ideas? Not rev limit. We already dealt with all those issues the last couple years. Was running great until it wasn't. Have no clue what could have been done to it as it is ridden by a ton of people and is not ours.

What cylinder is it? pull spark plug wires off while its running to determine, it would be the one that doesn't change your RPM, use wire puller pliers, and did you rebuild the carbs? or jsut cleaned? could need rebuilding, should be done after so many years, the diaphrams strecth out needle seat get worn.

Start the engine with the flame arrestor removed. Look into the #2 carb throat. Rev the engine. If you see fuel air mixture coming back out then your reeds are bad. Very common on polaris.
