1996 polaris Need some advise/help

I bought a used 1996 polaris 3 cylinder and can't get it started. When I first bought it last year I got it started twice out of the water and it seemed fine. Now it won't even turn over. It sounds like it want to but it just won't crank. The local dealer says that it is a fairly simple engine and it sounds like the crank bearing. Any thoughts? and do you know where I can view an engine diagram for this unit?
