    SLT 750 exhaust

    Currently have my SBT engine apart due to melted wiring (see previous post).

    I notice the exhaust ports on the side of the jug are different colors. 1 & 3 are black & oily. #2 is clean & shiny.

    Is this a problem?

    SBT engine purchased in July of 04. Probably only has about 35 hrs on it

    Clean means really rich, water, or not firing.

      I can check the firing, but how do I check the others?

        Rich - go through your carbs and rebuild them properly. Water - check your compression.
