  • Help on 95 SL750

I am new to the Forum and a new Polaris owner. I just picked up a 95 SL750 that has been sitting in Arizona for the last 4 years without being ran for $500. It seems to be in pretty good shape and I was just curious where I should start on getting this thing fired up again. Any suggestions on what steps I should take first? Thanks for the help everyone!

Have the carbs cleaned out, 4 years of sitting, they are in need of inspection. Make sure the needle and seats are not stuck and not gummed up with old gas. Replace any old gas and oil, new battery and spark plugs. Remember the engine must be running before you turn the garden hose on to cool the engine, also turn hose off seconds before shutting off the engine. If you plan on working on this machine your self buy a factory repair manual from polaris. Good luck, tell us how it runs. Tom SBT tech.
