1995 Sl750 Overheating?

1995 Sl750 Overheating?

I have a 1995 Sl 750 and after a few min at wide open throttle it flashes HOT on the Lcd and Dies. It starts back within a few moments. Any suggestions?

Thermostat and pressure valve in water rail, Remove both and see if it still overheats, if so replace both.
