I was haveing issues with a 1050 sltx at full throttle . It died like someone pulled the teather off . After rebuilding the carbs , It did not die out but was limited in rpms 5100-5400 at best . JUST a note when or before rebuilding your carbs if you have a high speed issue , check to see if the secondary spray is comeing out , if not pull the lines and spray wd40 thru them , only the center carb secondary outlet was working on my ski , now all three are operating correctly and it made all the difference in the world . I get 62 on gps at 6300 rpms . And that is in a decent chop .
