revs up when started then blows oil out what seems to be a vent on right side near the oil tank.

We dont do much on the polaris 4 stroke skis, but when running the ski out of the water put the ski in the reverse position so it doesn't over boost and rev away. You could have a damaged oil filter or its over filled with oil.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
