Thanks for the article. I had looked for one but missed it. Anyway, on my polaris, when I run the engine after I have turned the water off, and crank the throttle a few bursts to clear the water out, does that also remove the water from the water jacket on the crankcase? Reason I ask, I had bought a used 93 sl750 with blown engine that I had hoped to fix. I discovered that water had froze in the crankcase water jackets on at least 2 instances, if not 3. The first time the case was welded. Second time, it was patched with JB weld. Third time, not fixed at all. All cracks were at the back of the middle cylinder and the front of the pto cylinder. I did not know they were there untill I had pulled the exhaust. Also, where it says to fog the engine, do I just spray the oil into all 3 cylinders and then shut the engine down before 15 seconds is up?

Polaris only had water in the cases in 92 and 93. By 94, they were no longer running cooling water through the cases, just the cylinders. most of the water in the cylinders drains automatically when you pull the boat out of the water. Unless, you have a 92 or 93 case set on your 94 engine (not unheard of if a rod let go and ruined the 94 cases)

Bruce Wolford
Wet Wolf Technologies - Purveyor of Performance Pump Parts
(509) 280-5444
Wet Wolf Tech

PWC Race Director
Northwest Water Competition
http://www.nwh2oracer.com
