Hey, I have a 1994 with a 750 from SBT. I wanted to change the rideplate and intake grate, along with an impeller that would allow me to maximize my skis abilities. The engine doesnt have any mods, and if it did it would just be a few horsepower above normal. What impeller should I use if I will be riding in fairly rough water and want to maximaize my acceleration and top speed. And what intake grate and ride plate should I use? Any help would be great.

I had a 94 SL750, I experimented with impellers and found that a skat trak 13/18 swirl($230.00 retail) is the best all around, as far as intake grates I would use an R&D intake grate($29.99 retail), they have good hook up in rough waters and as far as a ride plate I would use for an SL900 96-97. the parts will give you the best bang for not alot of money.
I hope this helps.

Not sure if will fit your ski or not. Pure Polaris has a Mid sized ride plate for $89.75.
I installed one on my 97 SLT780 and it helped tighten up the turns and it rode a little better.
May be the same plate referred to on the previous post.Remember, no matter where you go, there you'll be!

I agree with Pro785lim on everything except the rideplate. It's true that the rideplate he is talking about (actually all 2 seater rideplates with the extended pump are the same) will increase speed but it will also introduce lots of porpoising in even a riplled lake which will lose speed. I would go with an Ocean Pro rideplate, especially since you mention riding in rougher waters. No porpoising and better carving and tracking.
The mid size rideplate from Polaris fits the 3 seaters only. It is a Virage TX stock rideplate.

Intake grate was used about 4 hours in fresh water. I bought two grates that were slightly different and swapped them to make sure they worked the same, no difference in the two. Both worked better then the stock grate.
