Reeds

I bought a set of Reeds on Ebay for my stock 94 750 Sl. I e-mailed the seller to ask if they'd work on my stock ski, he said yes no problem. I just got them today on the reed box they say their for racing only. Why would they be for racing only and would they hurt the performance of a stock ski? The reeds are Powerflow Akitive Reeds #040

They are probably carbon fiber, and may not last very long compared to stock.

Racing only = short life
Unless you don't mind doing the tear down on the intake and paying for and replacing gaskets and reeds, IMHO you should sell the reeds and buy a set of boyesen or similar
that are not carbon fibre.
