• 2000 slx

I just bought a new leftover slx from my local dealer (was still in the crate) and it is an absolute rocket !! Very impressed so far but I have a few ?'ss
Will the hot seat waterbox that I have on my 1050 interchange w/the slx or am I going to have to purchase another one? and I was wondering what kind of compression the slx runs from the factory and what can you bump it up to and still remain fairly dependable!!
I have a set heads that go on a slx that boost the compression up to 150 but was wondering if that is to high or not?
Thanks for your help!!

Yes the waterbox will work.I'm not sure on the compression, but as long as you keep it under 185 you can still use 93 octane.

As DTH said the waterbox will work fine, and 150 compression should be fine. My 2000 SLX has been running 150lbs. compression for about the last 150 hours. For reference though the stock compression should be around 135 (depending on altitude)
