  • Virage TX limp mode

Why when I turn a curve very HARD does the limp mode kick in?The fuel is full and so is the oil. When it does this I have to get off the throttle and get back on it quick and it goes back to normal.

No it doesn't unless you have a glitch like a bad sensor or pinched wire. Most likely you have a fuel line/carb issue, something obstructing flow, clogging a pickup line, etc. You may also have a broken baffle in your waterbox. Take it out and shake it around listening for rattles.

Friend had same problem on Virage [700]

Had water in the electric box, rusted out a contact point on the main board and was also triggering the cdi rev limit on occasion.

I am getting similar operation now on my Genesis but have not looked further. I'll post an update if I get it figured out.

Blah.... I just wanna ride... why can't the bugs stay in teeth, not the ski.

P.S. broken baffle? as in the baffle may be blocking exhaust exit by restricting or may be flowing too much from a reduction in restriction. Which one?
