  • Attaching trim piece...

The rear corner trim is separated from the hull on the forward end of the boat - so it drags in the water when moving forward - only a matter of time before the water rips it off completely. Last year I tried epoxy, but it didn't hold. It looks as if the rivet hole is ripped through. So the question is, what do you think about drilling another hole in the trim and using that for a rivet or self tapping screw? And, are the OEM rivets standard blind rivets - or do I need a special gun and rivet to install them? I'm trying to avoid paying $35 for a tiny piece of trim which won't match the fading on the rest when I buy it anyway. I know, I'm long winded. Sorry. Any help is appreciated.
    WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

Just drill a new hole and pop another rivet in there, they are standard SS pop rivets.
