  • base gasket and o'rings

My problem is this... 1fastski was supposed to send me a cd manual for my boat but didn't. I am now running out of time to put this 98xpl back together. Everything seems pretty straight forward except for the 8 o'rings. I tore down the motor in the boat and the o'rings came out with the studs. The question I have is where the heck do they go ? Or can anyone e-mail me that portion of the manual? Of course it is Monday and all the dealers are closed..... Thanks for any help you can give.....

With the clyinder mounted onto the motor, push each oring down into the gap between the stud and the clyinder stud hole. They are only there to stop the studs from viberating. Install the head gasket and head next and you are done putting the long block together.

Thanks Bill, I knew I could count on the experts. The jet kit was a breeze to install, by the way. The fly filters look great. Thanks again....
