97 GTX knocking at idle...

After a hellish Lake Powell trip that involved a flipped wakeboard boat, I start to hear a knock coming from the Seadoo. At idle only.

I just had the impeller replaced, but that was 10 hours before I heard this noise.

Its got 110 hours on it, and from 50h on, it was on Amsoil.

Other than that, it ran great. A little weak up there at altitude, but thats expected.....

It might be your prop sliding back and forth a wee bit. They call it bearing end play or something like that. The spring in the cone, that is only in there to prevent the sound, must have had a problem and is no longer doing the job.

I run without the spring, but in your case you might be advised to remove the cone to check for water intrusion and the spring itself.
