    i have a 99 seadoo xp limited with a sbt motor in it. when i bought the ski it had a hour break in period on the motor road it for 2 weeks put about 20 hours on it then one day i was out and it died on me going about 40 mph i tried to start it and got one loud beep then tried to start it agian it started and went about 20 yards then died and now it wont start and the two beeps when i put the lanyard on is very low and the long beep is low it sounds like it wants to start but just doesnt. i know nothing about these motors and dont want to get ripped off by dealers so if anyone knows what this could be help me out please thank you

    Have you checked your battery. Put a multimeter on it or take it to a battery shop and have them test it with a load.

      The ignition computer has a low voltage cut off. If the battery has lost enough voltage, the ignition turns off and you will hear one long beep lasting a few seconds. It could also be caused by any loss of power, like a bad connection or ground.

        i have taking the battery to be tested they said it had a low charge but the battery was good so i recharged it. and i have also checked most connections all look good. i am taking the lanyard and ski to get reprogramed soon.

          i just took out my spark plugs and one of them has rusted metal shavings in it i dont really thing thats to good?

            No that is not good. Does the motor spin freely with the sparkplugs out? In your orginal post, you described a siezed motor, probably duel to a fuel related problem ( lack of fuel ) and that probably caused the motor to sieze ( shut off while riding it ). Check your compression. It should be equal and around 135 to 140 psi in both clyinders.
