  • doing damage?

Hi, I called the dealer today to schedule the 10 hour service. They are currently about 3 to 4 weeks out. I have a houseboat trip on memorial day weekend and was wondering now that I have 10 hours on it, would it hurt it to pull some skiers and go WOT for a bit so I can finally race some folks on the water? I called my salesperson and he told me that there is kinda a controversy as to when the service should be done. He said some techs are saying it might be better to wait until about 15 hours and there would be no harm done. Does this sound correct? What would you recommend....riding it as is or should I at least have an oil change done?

    Thanks

    Re: doing damage?

If you have ten hours on the ski it should be sufficiently broke in to ride the crap out of. It is still under warranty. Now is the time to really break it in.

I don't know of any good reason to not ride it a few more hours, but get that service done ASAP because it is the most important of all services.

run it , the little that a dealer does on a 10hr check you can do your self in 30 min and save a lot of cash . changing the oil and filter is the most important thing to do if you have a 4 stroke . the rest is you paying the company to make sure there parts are not falling off .
