I just had one of the cylinders of my 99 seadoo xp(just purchased a few weeks ago) seize, so I took it taken apart and looked over. The oil lines have have an air bubble or two in them. I also just got the service history for it from the dealer. The engine had "hydrolocked" and all they did to fix it was get the water out and reoil it. It also at one point had the gas tank siphoned and cleaned out.
The top end is being rebuilt right now. Now I have a few questions.
How would air get into the oil lines? Why would the gas tank be siphoned and cleaned? It that an adecuate way to fix a "hydrolocked" engine?
