    Hi Guys ! was serviceing my 95/xp pump and as I removed the cone the sucker popped of onto the ground, there was only a small amount of oil inside and no water I coulkd see,suspect o ring wear or the cone is worped ?I service the pump 2-3 times /season and replaced shaft/ bearing /seal end of last season and had no problems with pressure any ideas or other remedies thanx.

    That is caused from pinching the o-ring during the last installation.

      Some DYI'ers think they have the cone filled with oil the first time the oil backs up and runs down the outside of the cone when they are filling the cone. It takes at least 4 attempts to fill the cone because the trapped air must escape through the fill hole. Be patient when filling the cone with oil.

      If you did it correctly, then the oil escaped. There are two ways it can escape. Through the impellor shaft seal or the oring on the cone.

        I Have Also Seen Cones With The Fill Screw Turned To The Bottom With No Sealer On The Threads. Enough Oil Eventually Leaked Out Just Sitting Over Time To Seize The Pump When Put Back In Use.
