Exhaust SD 720

I have installed the SD 720 engine. Also noticed that the clear hoses that run from the muffler and water pipe (with a little "T" connection) are clogged with some (mostly salt and oil) gooey stuff and I did clean the hoses. The hookup for the hose on the end part of the muffler is also clogged up and I have not cleaned it thoroughly, just picked what I could get with a metal wire. Should I take all the parts and clean them? What are those lines for? Thanx.

Water drains. Make sure you can pass air through them.
