  • 1993 SD XP Impeller

While changing my pump oil for the season this fall I took a good look at the impeller and noticed that the impeller has several bends on each blade which would match up with the effect felt of when I would take off and jam the throttle the engine would rev and no go but if I gradually pressed the throttle it would take off no problem, I think this is what is called cavitation. So the question that I have is what pitch of impeller should this be replaced with? What is the factory part No. and pitch for this impeller? Since I am going to replace the impeller what SOLAS impeller is the one to go with? As well does the factory and Aftermarkert (SOLAS) impeller use the same impeller tool? As well is the wearring hard to replace?

The 93 XP came w/ 15-20.5 progressive pitch stainless steel impeller and
part# is 271 000 182 it will be stamped on the impeller.
I'm very sure about they use the same impeller tool.

Send the impellor to David at Impros, www.impros.com and let him make it better than new for less than 1/2 the price of a new Solas impellor.

To replace the wear ring, you will need a die grinder or a sawzall, jigsaw or some other cutting tool that will cut the rubber and fiberglass of the wear ring so that you can reduce it's diameter and it will slide out of the pump.
