  • holy crap STARTER BROKEN

well I was looking at my starter a few moments ago and realized its freaking broken.. the cover on it where the shaft sticks out is broken and the little cone with the bearing in it stayed in my old block. I got it out of the block but have a broken starter. Is this something worth getting fixed or should I buy a new one. (Its original,(98) but never gave me any problems)

Your only choices are to buy a new starter, or buy a junk starter and use what you need. SD doesn't sell indivudual parts other than brush kits.

We like ours. Just as reliable as OEM, more power, less cost than OEM and a 1 year warranty (better than OEM). I've been running one for 4 years, never missed a beat.

They are made directly for us by the same companies that make most OEMs. We simply eliminate the distribution markup.

                Re: holy crap STARTER BROKEN

The aftermarket SBT starter motors for the type of skis that use the motor that is seperate from the clutch, like all of the late model Kawasaki, Yamaha Sea Doo's ect, (not the old Jetski 440-550, or early Yamaha twins, SD 787,720, 657 or 580 type that have the bendix clutch on the nose shaft) are ok. It's the old style starter motors ( especially GOKI and AFCO or ADCO ) that have given me fits.
