    That is BS.
Their stators last forever if you keep water out of the mag housing ( which is not a big problem if it hasn't been hacked by an amatuer mechanic).

Your problem is most likely a bad battery or rectifier.

i replace very few stators in any skis . most of the time its water damage that gets them , or starter parts flyin around .

Re: 2002 GTX DI 12V Low Alarm

There are some new folks at my dealer these days and I'm getting much better treatment. They told me that they have replaced a few stators but mostly on their 4 wheelers. They also told me that they would hate to see me waste my money on a regulator becouse they NEVER replace them.

At the moment what I know is the stator does seem to be OK to me. 70volts output and I did what they suggested and load tested it by putting a 50W light bulb accross all the phases. It lit up pretty much as you would expect a 120v lamp to at on only 70v's.

My regulator checks out OK as far as the diodes go. It seems to be regulating but at a low 13.7. That's if the voltage even gets that high.

        The battery is new.

All connections look like brand new....everything bone stock.

Engine block seeled and looks like brand new.

The ski has never had more than an inch of bilge ever in it's lifetime. Never been flipped upside down or anything.

        Fuses look brand new.

Could something else be dragging the voltage down to 5 volts at high RPM?
