SD part numbers with letter added to the end?

I am trying to decide whether to have my impellor repaired or replaced. I have access to on that was removed from a GSX because the mechanics waid that it was the wrong one. The number on it is correct (for the GSX) according to ronnies.com except that this one has nine digits and an "A". What does this "A" indicate? It is probably too steep of a pitch for my (stock)GSi but it doesn't hurt to ask, right?
