  • 1996 Sea Doo SPI Carb Question

I took the stock air cleaner off my ski and installed a custom sock style filter but now I don't have any place to hook up the choke or fuel cables. Does anyone know a sea doo part number for one or a place I can get one. The carb is a 38mm stock sea doo carb.
    Thanks
    Joe

You need to find a performance shop in your area that might have some different cable brackets to fabricate and adapt to your carb to hold your cables.

OR, you could have done the easiest ( and cheapest) thing to put an aftermarket filter onto a 38 carb. Use the stock metal 587 air box, remove the screen and buy the K&N filter that will clamp right onto the oem airbox. The base of the airbox has the cable brackets on it.

      Thanks Bill,
I went to a local metal recycle place and got a nice piece of staineless for 50 cents and fabricated my own plate(4 hours) that the choke and fuel cables fit to nicely.
