Before the craft was put up for the season, it ran fine. I have a new charged battery, new plugs, new gas filter. Turns over with plugs in or out. checked if it was getting spark and it is. Removed the gas filter to recheck it and fine, put some of the gas in the cyclinders and installed the plugs along with the gas filter housing. Turned it over and just would not start. Looked at the gas filter and there is no gas in the bowl. That tells me that no gas is being drawn from the tank...WHY?? Is it the carb on the end on the hose in the tank? Is it the carb that draws the gas or a pump? Any help would be most helpful. Thanks!!!

Re: 98 Seadoo GTX Limited-Won't Start!
Could be a clogged up ( or not turned on) fuel selector valve. There is nothing in the tank to prevent the gas from being sucked up the tube except the filter screen on the bottom of the fuel baffel.
Check to see if you have spark. If so, pour two tablespoons full of gas into each sparkplug hole and see it it starts.
Sometimes I get carbs in here with the diaphrams stuck to their cover plates after storage periods. If they are stuck, or the needles are stuck in their seats, no gas will flow through the carbs.Bill O'Neal <br>

Re: 98 Seadoo GTX Limited-Won't Start!
Awesome information and thanks for the help! I pulled the hoses from the fuel filter, the one that goes to the tank and the one that goes to the carb. As I switched between run and reserve, I blew into the hose. I did the same thing with the hose going into the tank. I then filled up the filter bowl with gas and reinstalled, along with the hoses. Next, I pulled the plugs and put 2 tablespoons of gas into each cyclinder and reinstalled and boom it started to run then died. I kept the chock up and turned it over again and it started up slowly and ran, then turned on the water and it remained running. I guess it need to draw the fuel back to the carb. I adjusted the idle and its starting up good and sounding good. I'll take it out this Friday and see how it does under a freshwater load. Thanks again, everyone!
