      Re: XP DI seized

Update: The engine seems to be fine. The dealer found the oil pump cable loose (I knew that already), and the electrical connectors for the air compressors had come unplugged.
Charged me 9.92 for two new spark plugs, and that was it.
I need to go run it in the river to see how it runs, though.

The dealer did a compression check and came up with 138/140. I did one yesterday and came up with 148/150, approximately.

Sounds like you got lucky with the loose plugs then :) Glad to hear it was a cheap fast fix!

          Thanks...me too.

Question, though...are the compression numbers (inaccurate as they may be) low, or right on for a 70hr engine?

Stock, brand-new compression should be ...150?

Yes stock is around 150 - your numbers are good - the dealer, like most people/shops, probably has an inaccurate gauge.
