this might be an ignorant question but does sea doo 2-stroke oil have a shelf life? i bought my skis last year and the old owner gave me a gallon of oil with them. so i figure this oil is at least a year and a half old. its been stored in my garage but it still heats up to over 100 degrees in there. can i use this oil or am i better off buying some new stuff?

Re: oil shelf life
I don't have any hard numbers, but I have seen old oil get gunky and look like it's separating. I've seen it in jugs, and in old skis. I can only recommend what I would personally do.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

Re: oil shelf life
Actually, you are probably better off with the heat in the garage than freezing cold of winter. I would think that 100 degrees is not going to hurt your oil at all.
But, for the price of a jug of oil, why are we having this conversation? When in doubt, toss it.Bill O'Neal <br>
