  • will a 800 motor fit in the 720

I'm wondering if a 800cc motor will bolt right into my 95 XP 720. What would need to be done with the plate, mounts, driveshaft...?

Jack up the gas cap and put a 1996 hull under it :)

No seriously, if you took the time and effort to install a pad to accept an 787 front motor mount, you could do it. But it is alot of effort to do.

A screw through the carb can usually only hurt the rotary valve and the tops of the pistons and head. Sometimes if caught just right by the crankshaft, it can poke a hole in the cases or leave a crack in them.

Like sweaty fiberglass grinding and laminating.

Remove the rotary valve cover ( the thing that your carbs are bolted to) to get to the rotary valve.

I took off the cover and found where it was stuck(motor wasnt spinning at all) It spins freely with out the vavle on there. I'm gonna get a new valve for it but does any one know where i can buy the valve online, theres no dealers near me. Is timing it hard to do, i looked at the tech article, seemed easy, i also brought the timing wheel to install it.

We have the valves for $35, but I'd make **** sure your brass gear wasn't damaged too.

if the brass gear is striped then the shaft is prob bent also , unless your 110% sure its not replace it also .

I highly doubt the brass gear is not damaged.

If it wern't, the RV would spin no matter what.
