If you are not familiar with POR 15, it is an excellent rust inhibator. I was just wondering,my driveshaft has some rust and pitting on the shaft, would it be kay to use the por 15 to stop the rust from continuing?. The splines are fine, no rust just the center or the driveshaft.

if the por 15 comes off and goes though the pump it will damage the wear ring , that stuff is very hard when dry .

I would think a little polish with emery cloth and a little grease would do the trick.
