  • Using utility trailer for ski?

I was wondering if anyone has used just a simple 4x8 utility trailer for their ski? I have a flat bed 4x8 and looking at purchasing a ski without a trailer. Can it be done without altering the trailer?

Why not go to a Sea-Doo dealer and get a crate bottom..

They have skids already made on them;fasten it on and trim to fit your trailer's length.

    Just a thought

    If you knew,then you'd know!

Well, you could use it in a pinch if you had to transport it - but no, you can't use it to launch with unless your vehicle is a submarine. You'll also destroy the hull after a while, from the abusive contact.

Here are 2 pictures of how someone did it.

Unfortunately this trailer has 2 problems

        1. It is not galvanized and was used in salt water.

        2. The plywood deck sitting on top of the steel rails created the perfect hiding place for moisture.

You can't easily see what's happening under that plywood but on a quite night you can almost hear it rusting away.
