  • Help Needed with Rebuild on 718 SeaDoo Motor

Two of the studs on the exhaust system snapped on our ski last season allowing water to enter the #2 piston and freexe it up. My dealer wanted to replace the engine and I purchased new resleeved cylinders and pistons attempting to complete the project myself. The engine ran fine until this happened. Is there anything else I should change besides the pistons, rings, wrist pins, wrist pin bearings and gaskets? The carbs were just rebuilt last spring so I would think they should still be OK.

    Thank You for your help!:o

Yes, pull the pump and inspect the impellor and wear ring. Believe it or not, a slipping impellor will cause bolts to snap off on the engine.
