Re: Opps I messed up the fuse box-97 Seadoo XP
From the top of the MPEM fuse box down:
#1. spare 7.5 amp fuse
#2 Spare 5 amp fuse
#3 Spare 15 amp fuse
#4 7.5 amp fuse (VTS)
#5 5 amp fuse (MPEM)
#6 15 amp fuse ( BATTERY)
There is a 15 amp fuse off the solenoid in the rear electrical box too. If it is bad, you get no power to the MPEM or gauges.Bill O'Neal
Re: New VTS, battery, and fuses....still no start!
Thanks so much to everyone that replied to the fuse problem.....So we thought the problem was a combination of the battery, fuses, and VTS (it needed one anyway). We bought a new battery, replaced all the fuses, and even bought a brand new VTS and installed it. The only fuse that we cannot locate is the 15 amp fuse off the solenoid in the rear electrical box. I read other threads and some say you could locate it in the front. WE CANNOT FIND THIS THING!!! We think this is why we are still not getting a sound..please if anybody knows where that extra fuse is and how to locate it please let us know. Also it you have any other reccommendation...anything will help!!!

Re: Opps I messed up the fuse box-97 Seadoo XP
The electrical schematic for a 1997 XP shows the 15 amp fuse connected to a red/purple wire that connects to the solenoid in the "rear electrical box". But, on a 1997 XP, the rear electrical box is not located in the rear of the hull. It is just left and in front of the motor under the front engine cover (hood). It also houses the coil and has sparkplug wires coming out of it.Bill O'Neal
