  • can I flush engine without it running

Took out my 96 XP this weekend. When I got back home, started it up, went to turn on garden hose to flush it and it died. Thought it was electrical problem, but I can't even turn the flywheel at all. Question, any way to blow or suck water out without engine running since I'm not sure how long it will take to find or fix the problem.
    Thanks!

did you get water in the engine when flushing ? pull the spark plugs and try to turn the engine over , if water come out its full of water and you must get it running asap . if you cant get it running and you have water in the engine flip the ski upside down and drin all water out of the clys then fill the engine with oil and get it to the shop asap .

Thanks guys for your replies. Tore into it and found out that the engine is seized. Don't know why it died on the trailer, but at least I didn't have to swim to shore!

after I run my ski, and get it back on the trailer, I run it for a second anyway to blow the water out of the pipe, is that what you're talking about?

Otherwise, good luck, sorry to hear.
