I have a 90 seadoo sp that i had bought used one year ago. i was told that i should premix the oil and gas then add oil to the resivor to see if the oil pump worked. I think the pump is working. Should i continue to premix the gas and oil? and was that a good idea to check the oil pump?

You would be better off eliminating the oil pump and going strickly with premix. With a ski that old, the pump could fail at any time and cause an engine seizure. Just a little insurance. -

it is not necessary but what you could do is run 100 to 1 oil ration then watch the oil level in the tank if it is going then you are fine you can just run the 100 to 1 all the time for insurance.Comment
