  • oil leak

I recently purchased a 96 Speedster. I took it to the cottage and filled it up with oil. I rode it hard and then noticed some oil inside the hull. After an inspection, I found it was leaking a little bit around the oil sensor. I called up my local dealer and they told me it is a possibility I over filled the reservoir. Is this possible? to cause this leak just with too much oil?
If not, what do I need to do to fix it?
    Thanks, Jake
