intake grate upgrade?

i wondering if i put a aftermarket intake grate would this help the bouncing?
here's is one listed on ebay...will this work?

if the 'bouncing' you're talking about is actually what we call 'porpusing' (spelling) then you'll be after a ride-plate. First, check out your trim!!

Hi,

The intake grate you gave the address for on ebay is not likely to reduce porpoising. Things that will reduce porpoising are intake grates (not all intake grates are great), ride plates and correct used of the trim system on you jetski. Ride plates help to reduce porpoising, but an aftermarket intake grate also helps as it improves rough water take up and basically keeps you connected to the water (ie: if you start porpoising the chances it'll continue will be reduced by an aftermarket grate). You are better to go for a good intake grate that has the 'fin' between the other 2 metal rails. Please see the following url for a better choice and notice that it has the 'fin' between the 2 metal rails which guides water into the jet, thus improving take up. Hope this helps:emoticont

what type of doo do you have? i have new ride plate extensions here to fit any seadoo with out VTS, (trim) or reverse. 25.00 ea, + s&h. i also have new scoop grates, that will compliment the plate. they really make a BIG difference on the SP, SPI ect. email me direct if your interested. zig

i have a 95 spx w/vts....what do you have for this model....also looking for a teal steering pad cover...have foam insert only need cover.....
