    Re: New Rave Valve Broken

Well I took apart the rave valves today and I found out that I had the o rings on the wrong side of the housing. I had put them on top of the housing not underneath. I am wondering if this allowed the ehaust gas to slip and cook the shafts. I know it melted the plastic parts but could it overheat the shaft too?

Is it me...or does that piston look like it's been run slightly lean? I don't see much for pistonwash around the ports.... Usually they have about a thumbnail size on the crowns.

Yes the piston/engine was run lean. I had the oil pump misalinged which caused a lean condition. I fixed that and now it does not sieze. It had siezed b4 3 times I know of. I do not know what pistonwash is??
