  • SeaDoo "Key" Programming

A simple question...but only if I knew the answer!

I have a '96 GSX and a '98 GTX-RFI. The GSX tether is worn and soon to break. I need to get a new one soon.

Question: Is it the "key" or the SeaDoo that is programmed to allow a key to work in the GSX? Is it possible to have the same "key" programmed to operate both machines (will save the trouble when I grab the wrong one and have to head back to get the right one!).

Also, what is required to get the programming done?

    Thx

just bring the skis to the dealer { or somone like me with there own programer } and the keys can be setup for both skis . dealers norm charge 20 bucks to program a key plus the key .

        MPEM??

So if I bring the one ski (GSX) with the key from the (GTX-RFI), then the GSX can be programmed to allow the GTX key to work in it too??

Yes. Each MPEM can be programmed for up to ~7 keys.
