I have a 98 XPL and noticed if i leave my XPL alone for a couple of weeks the battery is about dead. What could drain it while sitting for a few weeks? I put a new bateery in it a few months ago. Any idea's what will causes a battery to drain while sitting? I unpluged the bligage pump and that did not solve the problem.

Re: Battery Drained while Sitting XPL
Yeah a lot of ski's will drain the battery over time if it is left connected. In Seadoo's, the battery usually drains via the VTS module, which sometimes draws current due to a fault. Simplest thing to do....disconnect the battery when not using for a few days or more.

Re: Battery Drained while Sitting XPL
Batteries left alone and disconnected lose their charge at about 1% per day. What this means on day 1 you lose 1% of 100, day 2 1% of 99. day 3 1% of 97.8....etc so a battery can and will go dead on it's own. Leave it hooked up and it will discharge even faster.John Kubiak
