Mineral vs Synthetic vs Semi-Synthetic

I'm new to the pwc world with a long past in the snowmobile world... I assume the injection oil is the same between the industries and I'm curious - since I have used the Ski-Doo mineral and synthetic in different snowmobiles (based on mfg requirements for the different sleds) and just recently settled on using the newly introduced semi-synthetic in all of them - if I can use all of the aforementioned oils in a '95 XP (720cc)? This would allow me to used the semi-syn in all of my toys!:emoticont

Also, any opinion on whether it would be safe to use the same oils in a '96 Kawasaki zxi 900 until I can find the right sea-doo to trade it in for?
