  • Another VTS question.

On the GSXL my trim guage will not read any higher than about 2/3-3/4 up. The nozzle keeps moving after the guage stops and it does stop at the top like it should. I am guessing, the fact that is stops at the top means that the magnet on the sliding block is OK and I have a couple of switches that have failed. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I had some water in there a couple of weeks ago that caused the fuse to blow. The boot was dry-rotted and has been replaced. Could water also have gotten on the circuit board and caused this problem? I first noticed it just before the fuse blew.

Those VTS modules fail all the time. Have a look at the tech article on www.sea-doo.net (go to the VTS trim analysis article). It's a good article. I built my own VTS controller because i got sick of the seadoo VTS modules.
