97 GTI BN -401 carb settings?

Hi. Where should the high speed screw be set on this carb ? It is a 97 GTI with 717, single carb. This site says 0, other places say 1 1/2. Carb came to me set at about 1 1/2 turns out.

HS closed if stock. LS 1-1/4 tune from there if needed

1997 GTI,

low speed adjuster 1 3/4 turns out plus or minus 1/4 turn.

HS adjuster, closed.

Thanks for the good advice again . For some reason the last owner or his shop had the high speed turned out quite a ways

The project gti is now up and running! Next, take to lake for engine break in next week.
