  • How hard is it to install a 787?

Hey guys, this is gonna be my firs install...I checked out the step by step faq but I am still a little worried it might be more than i can handle. What are some things to look out for on these engines?

Also anyone in Ocean County area willing to lend a hand:emoticont

The best thing you can do is buy a service manual ,a degree wheel ,carb rebuild kits ,and pop off pressure gauge.then go from there if you have a digital camera take pictures and label your lines and connections I would also inspect your fuel and oil lines to make sure they are in good shape. You can also download the pdf install and removal guide on that model to give you some idea what your getting into take your time and you should be fine.:emoticonc

saltwater ski ? if so your biggest worrie will be getting your carbs and exhust off . if you dont have a degree wheel make sure you look at where your old rotory valve is set at with the front cyl at TDC . also if you do not have a engine alinment tool and have not removed your engine yet you can mark your mounts , it might not be perfect but will get you by if you dont have spl tools . and please dont use sillycone on your gaskets and find out what took out the old engine or your new one wont last .
