  • is safe to use on a jet pump?

    is this stuff safe to use to seal up the 3 holes on my jet pump? it's black like the original stuff and it's waterproof. my ski is a 96 XP

    Safe ? yes, it won't melt the plastic. Correct sealant, no. Buy Loc-Tite 518 by Permetex and use what the factory recommends.

      Bill, I think he was refering to the 3 water fittings that need to have Ultra Black around them - not the flange. I thought 518 was a flange sealer

        theres a flange that needs to use 518? which flange? the only thing i saw that needed to be sealed up was the three water fittings and i wanted to know if that stuff was correct to use.

        i also bought a new neoprene seal.

            There's no flange...I think Bill misunderstood where you were wanting to seal. That's why I was questioning the use of 518

              I thought he was speaking of the three holes for the cone screws.

              Ultra Black is to go around the three water and bailer hose fittings.
