  • Spark Plug Gap(s)

I have a bit of conflicting info between the owners manual and some shop guides I have looked at..

    I am using NKGs..

    1) Spark gap for '96 GSX?

    2) Spark gap for '98 GTX-RFI?

    Thx

BR8ES plugs for both models, and the gap is 0.022"to 0.024".

      Re: Spark Plug Gap(s)

That is the same as one source said, but my '98 GTX-RFI actual Owners Manual (the one that comes with SeaDoo) says .039". That is almost 2X as wide!!

Why such a differing number on something as basic as plug gap? That is why I am so confused and not sure what to use.

I do not have ab Owners manual for my '96 GSX......so I cannot verify what SeaDoo says for that unit....so I have setting at 0.039" for that unit too.

      Help!!

        Re: Spark Plug Gap(s)

The oem manual calls for .022-.024 for all models that use BR8ES sparkplugs. 717, 787, 787 RFI, 947 engines.
