Another timing question

so in an earlier post I discovered I set the timing to the wrong piston (duh), so now its running but it idles way up and if I give it gas it starts popping loudly.....are these symptoms of the timing still being off a couple of teeth? Just thought I'd check with the experts before ripping into it again.
