      Re: 1996 GTX Problems

discovered the top gasket between the exhaust manifold and the pipe weeps in 2 locations. wondering if its better to work on it from the pipe side or the manifold side to replace it or add gasket seal. repairing the water regulator has helped some on performance, and reduced about of water in the bilge substantially.

I've got the carbs set at 1 turn out on the low speed screws ( zero on hs). it runs great, but the plugs are a bit wet and it still has a bog at 5k coming out of the hole at wot, especially on 180's. wondering if the tech bulletin recommended slotted guillotines and new rave springs would make any difference. about ready to accept this performance as a fact of life.
