I'm wondering what the difference will be by installing wiseco 720 pistons in a 787 with the jugs bored to fit. Got a local cycle shop to bore the cylinders and get my piston kit from wiseco and get the gasket kit too but they received the wrong pistons and gasket kit. The gasket kit was returned for a for a 787 kit but they told me that the pistons were ok since they were fitted to the bore he did on the jugs. I'm no mechanic so I just want some feedback on this. To me the pistons look the same but I'm not the expert. Thanks!

the pistons are differnt and you dont want to use wiscos { IMO } anyhow . get the right pistons SBT or WSM pistons are much better then wiscos .

I think the wrist pin position is different on the 720 vs 800. Wiseco's are fine as long as you put enough clearance in them. .006 to .0065

with the clearince set for wiscos to be safe they rattle like a tin can untill the engine is warmed up . for the rec rider there not a good choice they just dont hold up .

wiseco's are all I use in my race boat, but I will NEVER put a set in my rec boats. They are too finiky, and have to be treated properly or they will bite you back. I agree with Chris. SBT, WSM or even Pro-X pistons are fine for everyday stuff.

720 pistons do not have intake holes in them, 787's do.

These pistons are installed in the ski now but has not been ridden yet. Are you saying this will not work? I was under the assumption these were basically the same pistons and do not want any more problems on the lake. What I'm asking is will this cause engine damage or a reduction in horsepower or something else? Thanks for the replies because it's hard to find an honest business these days that's not just trying to get your money .

as bill said, no boost hole. Also, Im pretty sure the wrist pin height is higher wich means you will have bags too much squish and more port duration.

Let us know how it goes.
