Diaphragm Pump \ Repainting Carbs

Saturday I ordered a couple rebuild kits 35-160 for my Mikuni carburetor for 97GTX Today I meticulously cleaned each carburetor. On the Mag side did I go too far by opening Pump Cover, and Body Assembly I have all parts but realize I cannot reuse the Diaphragm, Pump (Clear) and other seals in this area. Will these parts be included or do I need to order additional seals for the Diaphragm Pump?
A forth of the paint had worn off before I started cleaning carbs now 75% is off after rebuild is completed would you recommend tapeing up inlets/outlets and painting with a gloss black high heat engine paint or something else?

The kits are "universal" Mikuni Super BN kits and have all needed replaceable seals/gaskets including the integral fuel pump diaphragm components to rebuild one Mikuni Super BN, regardless of configuration (except 46i which has a much larger volume integral fuel pump, thus it has it's own specific kit), all of the components are pictured here: http://www.sbtontheweb.com/Merchant2...tegory_Code=35

Refer to your specific OEM service guides for the actual seals/gakets needed for your particular application.

I personally use Tempo 0203050 "Mercury Black" paint. I have found that this paint matches the color/finish of the Mikuni black paint quite well, is readily available, is compatible with th paint on the carbs, is easy to apply, dries quickly, and is quite fuel/oil and moisture resistant. I have used Tempo Suzuki Outboard Silver, And Tempo Honda Outboard Silver. I prefer the Suzuki color the best.
